Skyfall’s Sam Mendes would return to James Bond franchise
With the anticipation for Sam Mendes's 007 adventure Skyfall at fever pitch and with the release imminent, Mendes has revealed that he is "knackered" by the experience of filming the 23rd James Bond outing.
But the Oscar winning director has also revealed that he would consider doing another film in the 007 franchise telling Time Out "I think the choice is in the audience's hands.
If people love the movie and they want to see another one from the same people who brought you Skyfall, then that would mean a lot to me.
I feel like I've put everything I want to do with a Bond movie into this Bond movie, I would have to feel the same again to do another one.
So, it would take a lot of thought to try and make it as special to me as this."
Mendes is currently directing the stage adaptation of Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which will open next year, while Skyfall hits cinemas on October 26 featuring Daniel Craig, Bérénice Marlohe, Judi Dench, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem, Ben Whishaw, Albert Finney, Helen McCrory and Tonia Sotiropoulou.
