Soloist Gala Screening

Shelter has joined forces with Universal Pictures to raise funds at a charity gala screening of moving new drama, The Soloist.

The film, starring Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jnr, tells the story of a highly talented homeless musician. It is on general release from Friday 25 September, but the screening offers an exclusive chance to view it on Tuesday 22 September, from 6pm, at Cineworld, Haymarket, London. 

It will include a question and answer session with the film's director, Joe Wright, who also directed award-winning films Atonement and Pride and Prejudice. Tickets for the event are only £10.20 and all funds raised will go to Shelter.

Shelter's Director of Fundraising, Louise Parkes, said; 'The film's theme of homelessness will strike a chord with many of our supporters, so we're delighted that Universal Pictures have chosen to raise money for our work at the gala screening. It promises to be an excellent night out, and a great opportunity to get a sneak preview of the film ahead of the crowd!'
