Sought after Oscar winning Actor J.K. Simmons cast as Commissioner James Gordon in Zack Snyder’s JUSTICE LEAGUE
Whilst Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is weeks from release, it has been announced that sought after Oscar winning Actor J.K. Simmons has been cast as Gotham City’s Commissioner Gordon in Justice League!
Written by Chris Terrio and Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League will see Ben Affleck’s Batman, Henry Cavill’s Superman and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman teaming up with Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, Ezra Miller’s Flash and Ray Fisher’s Cyborg to combat a threat beyond each member's capabilities.
The Hollywood Reporter report that Justice League: Part One will start shooting in mid-April and is set to Cinemas on November 17 2017 whilst Justice League: Part Two is due for release on June 14 2019.
In DC Comics lore Commissioner James Gordon is an integral part of the Batman literary mythos. The fan favourite character has been played by many Actors over the years, including Lyle Talbot in the 1949 series Batman and Robin, Neil Hamilton in the TV series Batman in the 1960s, Pat Hingle in the Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher Batman franchise and Gary Oldman in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Trilogy.
On TV, James Gordon is the lead character in Fox’s Gotham, which takes a look at a Gotham City before Batman.
