Sought After Talent Kristen Wiig is reported to be Patty Jenkins’ Top Choice for Villainess role of Cheetah in WONDER WOMAN 2
With production ramping up for Patty Jenkins’ WONDER WOMAN 2, it has been revealed that sought after talent Kristen Wiig is the top choice to play the villain role of Cheetah opposite the returning Gal Gadot as the titular heroine.
Variety report that Patty Jenkins would be returning to write, direct and produce after landing a landmark contract following the news that the sequel is set for release on November 1 2019.
Those close to the project, indicate that Wiig was always high on Jenkins’ list for the part and had let Wiig know about her interest before Jenkins left to location scout for the project.
It is currently unknown if Wiig is onboard the superhero sequel, if she signs on to the project, it will mark her first foray into the genre.
Last seen in Mother! and Downsizing, as well as Television favourite The Last Man on Earth, Wiig will next be seen in as Audrey in Richard Linklater’s Where'd You Go, Bernadette which is currently in post production.
