Spider-Man to control MP3 Player in new suit improvement for The Amazing Spider-Man 2
With film completed on Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and following the reveal of the log for the hotly anticipated sequel it has been revealed that there are a number of improvements to Spider-Man's suit in the sequel.
Entertainment Weekly report that the costume will include an MP3 player, which Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man can activate through the suit's web shooter, and Costume Designer Deborah Lynn Scott tells the publication "You'll see early on in the film that he can turn music on that he's listening to inside the costume through his web shooter."
Responding to the criticism that Garfield's suit did not include a belt in the original, she added that it has now been added to fall in line with "the source material" revealing "It's there in the source material. There are rules to comic book characters."
Other changes to the suit include bigger eyes and changes to its tones of red and blue and Producer Matt Tolmach commented that the new and improved outfit is "bad-ass".
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 arrives in cinemas next April and will feature Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Sally Field, Martin Sheen, Dane DeHaan, Paul Giamatti, Colm Feore, Felicity Jones, Chris Cooper, Marton Csokas and Sarah Gadon.
It has been announced that there will be two more sequels following The Amazing Spider-Man 2, with release dates confirmed for 10 June 2016 and 4 May 2018.
