Spoiler Warning: Details of Anna Paquin’s role in X-Men: Days of Future Past revealed
Following the release of the final trailer to Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past, and word that Anna Paquin's Rogue will appear in the film, details have emerged about her role.

Vulture has detailed her original and revised function in the story explaining In the dystopian future setting of the film, an injured Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page) is using her powers to project Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) into the past.
As she begins to succumb to her wounds, a replacement is needed, and only Rogue's ability-absorbing powers can help.
It was previously reported that her original scene would feature an expensive set piece in which Sir Patrick Stewart's Professor X, Sir Ian McKellen's Magneto and Shawn Ashmore's Iceman rescuing Rogue from the Xavier Mansion, which is now a Sentinel controlled military base. However, that scene has been cut.
X-Men: Days of Future Past hits cinemas on May 22 and features Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Ian McKellen, Michael Fassbender, Ellen Page, Peter Dinklage, James McAvoy, Halle Berry, Shawn Ashmore, Lucas Till, Patrick Stewart, Daniel Cudmore, Booboo Stewart, Omar Sy, Fan Bingbing and Adan Canto.
