Star Trek Into Darkness star Simon Pegg hasn’t been approached for JJ Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode VII
He returns to cinemas with JJ Abrams' Star Trek Into Darkness this May and Simon Pegg has revealed that he hasn't been approached to appear in Star Wars Episode 7.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Pegg said "I've spoken to him and congratulated him but it's not written so there's no casting or anything, me having a role just hasn't come up."
Speaking about the long-standing rivalry between Star Wars and Star Trek fans The World's End star added "I've never come across anyone who likes Star Trek but hates Star Wars.
If you are that, then that's clearly a sign of some kind of illness. There's room for everybody. I think it's great JJ's doing it. I hope he does more films with 'Star' before them as the first word!"
Pegg also revealed that fans could probably expect teasers for The World's End - the third film in his and Edgar Wright's 'Cornetto Trilogy' in March or April.
