Following her turn as Maz Kanata in the mammoth hit Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, and whilst she is filming Star Wars: Episode VIII, it has been reported that Lupita Nyong'o may have a spot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

The Hollywood Reporter report that the Oscar winning 12 Years a Slave Actress is in talks to star opposite Chadwick Boseman in Marvel's Black Panther from filmmaker Ryan Coogler.

Whilst details about her character are being kept under wraps for now, it is believed she will play Black Panther's love interest.

In Marvel Comics lore, T’Challa is romantically involved with X-Men’s Storm, however a big-screen relationship is unlikely since 20th Century Fox control the rights.

Nyong'o most recently provided voice work to Disney’s The Jungle Book, as well as the aforementioned Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens and returns to Cinemas with Disney’s Queen of Katwe which is due in Cinemas later this year, she is also gearing up to star in Intelligent Life from filmmaker Ava DuVernay.
