Star Wars Episode Vll: What the hell is going on?

With under two years to go until the force returns to cinema. It seems every young hot actor and pretty much every actor has been linked to a role to a galaxy far, far away and with news and rumours hitting the web, we thought it best to let you know what’s happening.

What we know already
• The Director - The man taking control of the Millennium Falcon is J.J. Abrams, that’s right the man who made Star Trek cool so we’re in safe hands geeks.

• The Script is complete - Abrams along with Lawrence Kasdan have written the script and it was recently reported he has now finished work on it and now focusing on seventy bajillion other things to lock.

• The score king returns - It wouldn’t be a Star Wars film without John Williams. So it was important to have the man who bought the most memorable scores to cinema has been confirmed to come back.

• Shooting  -  It’s been reported shooting is set to start in Pinewood in May and due to finish in September with parts of production taking place in Abrams’ Bad Robot base in LA. so that he wouldn’t be away from his family but the shoot is officially UK based and use real locations rather than relying on green-screen.

• The cast - Only R2D2 has been confirmed to return.

Rumour has it
The internet has been going crazy with rumours linking every actor to a role and been in conversation about the movie but these are the facts.

These actors have admitted about having a conversation/meeting relating to the film:

• Carrie Fisher
• Mark Hamill
• Gary Oldman
• Saorise Ronan
• Michael B. Jordan
• Jason Flemying

Reported actors to have had a meeting/conversation but have admitted nothing:

• Benedict Cumberbatch
• Michael Fassbender
• Hugo Weaving
• Adam Driver
• Chiwetel Ejiofor
• Jack O’Connell
• Sullivan Stapleton
• Matt Smith
• Jack Reynor

Will any of these people named even make it? Who will they be playing? Is the protagonist going to be a female, as rumoured? Will the cast be a mixture of established stars and unknowns as there was an open call for some of the roles?

There is still a lot we don’t know like the cast but Abrams will be keeping a tight lid on the plot and the title let’s not forget ‘Return of the Jedi’ was called ‘Blue Harvest’.

Even though we know filming will be based in both London and Los Angeles however Kathleen Kennedy has made remarks suggesting Episode Vll will be shoot in exotic locations. The costumes are another question mark will our heroes be in t-shirts and jeans or like the classic costume from the original and prequel trilogy.

Finally this is Disney we are talking about so mini TV spin offs are inevitable with trailers for Star Wars Rebels already on the net.
