Stephen Moyer is a triple threat

08 June 2010

'True Blood' star Stephen Moyer, has signed on to two films set for release in 2011, he'll star alongside Richard Gere and Topher Grace in 'The Double' from director Michael Brandt and 'The Big Valley' alongside Susan Sarandon and Jason Alan Smith from director Daniel Adams.

'The Double' finds Richard Gere and Topher Grace as mismatched CIA partners, one grizzled and retired (Gere), the other fresh-faced and eager (Grace) who must hunt down the man who killed a senator in Washington. Moyer will play a Russian spy, though it’s not known if he’s nabbed the role of Gere’s most notorious old enemy, the prime suspect in the slaying.

Michael Brandt, who co-wrote Wanted with partner Derek Haas, is making the film his directorial debut. He’ll kick off shooting later this month in Detroit.

'The Big Valley' which has been adapted from a 1960s US TV show, Moyer will play Jarrod Barkley, the family's respected attorney who represents ranchers fighting to keep their land from being taken by railroad companies. Production will take place in Louisiana.
