Steve Carell addresses Anchorman 3 rumours and says we could be waiting a decade if that

13 January 2016

There have been rumours circulating for awhile about a third entry in the Anchorman franchise and now Steve Carell has addressed the possibility of a follow up to Anchorman: The Legend Continues!

It took a decade to get a sequel to Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and talking on Good Morning Britain today, Carell who plays everyone's favourite weatherman Brick Tamland said "No, we never discussed it, but I heard in an interview [with director, Adam McKay] he mentioned that he might have an idea for Anchorman 3.
But it might not happen for 10 or 15 years, so take a big deep breath."

It is expected that the possible third entry would take Ron Burgundy and his team into the 1980s, which would surely seal the end of his brand of news reporting, and thus an era worth exploring.

Carell returns to Cinemas with Adam McKay’s The Big Short alongside Christian Bale on January 22.
