Steve Wozniak praises Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs

06 July 2015

With another Steve Jobs biopic coming to cinemas under the direction of Danny Boyle and starring sought after talent Michael Fassbender, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has said that he is pleased with how the film is shaping up.

Set for release on November 13, Wozniak, who is being played by comic actor Seth Rogen , told Bloomberg that Michael Fassbender's portrayal of the tech pioneer feels authentic to a point saying he "felt a lot of the real Jobs in the trailer, although a bit exaggerated", and admitted that it made him "almost cry remembering it". and concedes that "accuracy is second to entertainment in a movie like this", but pointed out that Rogen's portrayal misses the mark in some respects explaining "I don't talk that way, I never made comments to the effect that I had credit taken from me." When talking about the scene in the trailer where Rogen's Wozniak accuses Jobs of taking credit for his co-worker's creations.

He went on to say that he is honoured to be played on screen by Rogen and insisted his dialogue "carried the right message" in part.

Written by Aaron Sorkin, Steve Jobs also stars Jeff Daniels, Kate Winslet, Katherine Waterston, Michael Stuhlbarg and Sarah Snook.
