Universal Pictures have confirmed that Eastwood will be playing a sidekick to Kurt Russell's covert intelligence agent Mr Nobody alongside returning cast members Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson and Michelle Rodriguez.
The casting seems to be a boost for the good guys as they face off against acclaimed Actress Charlize Theron who is the chief villain of the eighth entry.
Set to open in April next year, Fast & Furious 8 will be a pedal-to-the-metal adventure set in the iconic New York City.
