Suicide Squad’s Will Smith replaces Hugh Jackman in Alfonso Gomez-Rejon’s Collateral Beauty

05 August 2015

He’s currently filming David Ayer’s Suicide Squad and word is that sought after actor Will Smith will replace Hugh Jackman in the lead role in upcoming film Collateral Beauty.

Deadline report that Smith will star alongside Rooney Mara in the film that follows a New York advertising executive who experiences a personal tragedy. His colleagues then create an unconventional plan to help him defeat his depression, which works with unexpected results.

Jackman had to step away from the film last month due to scheduling commitments.

Written by Allan Loeb and Directed by Me and Earl and the Dying Girl's Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, shooting is expected to vein this October.
