Sylvester Stallone’s action thriller Bullet to the Head axed by Warner Bros

25 February 2012

While we have seen an official still from the Sylvester Stallone starring, Walter Hill directed action thriller Bullet to the Head, it is being reported that Warner Bros have pulled the plug.

Deadline report that the film based on the French Bullet To The Head comics series by Alex "Matz" Nolent and Colin Wilson was slated for an April release, but Warners have apparently taken it off the schedule.

Joel Silver's Dark Castle was handling production duties on the film that sees Stallone as a hitman who teams up with a police officer played by Sung Kang to avenge the deaths of their respective partners.

Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa and Gattaca's Christian Slater were also set to appear. But Stallone fans will see the action hero in the sequel to The Expendables alongside action legends Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Chuck Norris.
