Taylor Schilling says Argo is a career highlight even with reduced role

23 September 2013

She can currently be seen in Orange Is the New Black and Taylor Schilling has described her reduced role in Argo as a career highlight.

Schilling played played Christine Mendez, the wife of Ben Affleck's character Tony, in the 2012 film and most of her scenes were cut from the final film but talking to E!, Schilling said "Most of it got cut! I was in the last scene of the movie and it was an incredible experience. I love Ben Affleck so much, he's an amazing director and his wife was so generous to me when the role got cut.

It won 'Best Picture' and I wasn't in it! But honestly to be in a movie that won 'Best Picture' at the Academy Awards... It's one of the highlights of my career so far. Really, it was incredible."

Schilling is currently working on the second season of Netflix's original series Orange Is the New Black alongside Laura Prepon and recently premiered Wiebke von Carolsfeld's Stay at the Toronto International Film Festival.
