Taylor Swift and Amanda Seyfried offered roles in Tom Hooper’s Les Miserables
Sought after young actress Amanda Seyfried who is known for films including In Time, Red Riding Hood and Mamma Mia! has reportedly been offered the role of Cosette in Tom Hooper's hotly anticipated musical adaptation of Les Miserables.
It is also said that while no formal offers have been put on the table, Taylor Swift has been offered the role of Eponine.
Cosette is one of the major roles in the plot, for those not familiar with the musical she is the grown daughter of Fantine who'll be played by The Dark Knight Rises babe Anne Hathaway. She is also the girl that Hugh Jackman's Jean Valjean rescues and adopts as well as getting herself caught up in a love triangle with driven student Marius (Eddie Redmayne) and Eponine.
Hooper is looking to start shooting in February and rumour has it that he wants his cast to sing live instead of mouthing along to pre-recorded material.
Seyfried will next be seen as Jill in Heitor Dhalia's Gone on March 2 while Swift will be heard as Audrey in Dr. Seuss' The Lorax on July 27.
