20 November 2012

With Michael Bay's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming to cinemas in 2014, co-creator Kevin Eastman has compared the upcoming reboot to Marvel's Avengers Assemble.

Speaking to NBC Chicago, Eastman offered an update revealing that he still has high hopes explaining "All the intentions are in the right place. I couldn't be happier to be a part of it. I think it's going to be a fantastic film.

Jonathan Liebesman is going to make a great film. From what I've seen of the script, it's fantastic.
Michael Bay has made some great and intense movies.

We're talking about being inspired by movies like The Avengers for scope and roots origin and The Raid: Redemption for fight scenes and Rise of the Planet of the Apes as far as computer-quality style."

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had three big screen outings in the early 1990's and had a omputer animated instalment called TMNT in 2007 as well as various animated television series over the years.
