The Avengers hero Chris Evans in talks for Bong Joon-ho’s Snow Piercer

15 January 2012

He'll soon be seen suiting up with his fellow Avengers in the April 27 release of Joss Whedon's The Avengers and while he is closely identified with the red, white and blue hero, Chris Evans is using his new found fame to push his career in interesting directions.

Word is that Evans has entered negotiations to star in Snow Piercer from Host director Bong Joon-ho which is a story set in a frigid world of ice and snow, and focused on a train full of travellers who are struggling to survive both the conditions and each other.

While it isn't clear what role Evans will be playing if he signs on the dotted line, it should all become clear when the cameras roll in Prague in March.

Bong Joon-ho last directed crime thriller Mother and has teamed up with Oldboy director Park Chan-Wook to pen the script.

Evans is currently working on The Iceman which tells the story of Richard Kuklinski played by Man of Steel's Zod Michael Shannon who kept his mob assassin side hidden from his family.
