Buskers donning walker inspired makeup stop London commuters in their tracks with haunting theme music from hit TV show The Walking Dead

The fearsome foursome performed the iconic show’s soundtrack at Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden and South Bank – dressed as the undead

Ghoulish group were rehearsing for the red-carpet premiere of the first episode of season 11 which will kick off with an orchestra inspired by The Walking Dead playing at a concert hall in the capital on August 19

Fans can catch the new, final season of The Walking Dead on Star on Disney+ from August 23

A string quartet stopped London commuter’s dead in their tracks this morning as they performed a rendition of The Walking Dead’s iconic soundtrack.

City workers and cyclists looked on in surprise as living dead members of leading chamber orchestra the Covent Garden Sinfonia  performed at Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden and under the London Eye along the Southbank.

 

 

The otherworldly buskers set out to shock passers-by and were rehearsing ahead of a full orchestra performance donning makeup inspired by walkers, that will play at the premiere of the first episode of season 11 of the iconic show.

The Walking Dead inspired orchestra plan to strike fear into fans attending the unique screening at Kings Place Concert Hall on the evening of August 19.

The Covent Garden Sinfonia quartet, led by conductor Ben Palmer, will be given a monstrous makeover for the red-carpet event.

 

 

Ben's versatile musicians previously performed John Williams' Oscar-winning score for the movie 'E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial' at a sell-out Royal Albert Hall concert.

Season 11 of The Walking Dead will be the grand finale of the terrifying TV series and airs on Star on Disney + from August 23 and fans have a chance to join celebrities, influencers and media at the special screening.
