The Fan Carpet added first photo and poster for Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s The Thing

Accompanying the teaser poster for this year's horror prequel The Thing, The Fan Carpet have also added the first photo of Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Kate Lloyd.
Directed by Matthijs van Heijningen Jr. The Thing is set at at an Antarctica research site where the discovery of an alien craft leads to a confrontation between graduate student Kate Lloyd and scientist Dr. Sander Halvorson. While Dr. Halvorson keeps to his research, Kate partners with Sam Carter, a helicopter pilot, to pursue the alien life form.
Released on October 14, The Thing also stars Eric Christian Olsen, Joel Edgerton, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Ulrich Thomsen.
