The Critics’ Circle, which makes an annual award for Services to the Arts, is composed of six sections - Drama, Music, Film, Dance, Visual Arts and Literary criticisim. The Literary section, set up in November 2014, is still building up its membership and is not yet fully active. The Circle's aims are to promote the art of criticism, to uphold its integrity in practice, to foster and safeguard members’ professional interests, to provide opportunities to meet, and to support the advancement of the arts.
