The Frozen Ground hero Nicolas Cage says role in The Expendables 3 is unlikely
While he returns to cinemas tomorrow with the release of Koch Media's The Frozen Ground, cinematic legend Nicolas Cage has played down reports linking him to a major role in Sylvester Stallone's third entry in The Expendables franchise.
Speaking to Den of Geek, Cage said "I'm not in Kick-Ass 2 and I don't think I'm in Expendables 3.
And I like those guys, but I would say it would be highly unlikely that I'd be in that movie."
The Oscar winning actor will soon be working on Vic Armstrong's Left Behind and is attached to a number of projects including Marble City, Frank or Francis and Outcast and is currently filming Paco Cabezas's Tokarev.
As for The Expendables 3, Stallone has promised "young blood" in the cast and Vinnie Jones is said to have joined the film earlier this year.
Hercules star Dwayne Johnson has also expressed an interest in joining the high octane franchise.
