Following the success of The Hunger Games, word is that sought after heroine Jennifer Lawrence is in talks to star in the film adaptation of gossip columnist Jeannette Walls's memoir The Glass Castle.

Lionsgate, the studio behind The Hunger Games have reportedly bought the rights to the tome and have hired Buffy the Vampire Slayer scribe Marti Noxon to write the screenplay and The Blind Side's Gil Netter to produce.

Published in 2005, Walls made history when The Glass Castle stayed on The New York Times' bestseller list for over 250 weeks and tells the story of Walls, from her unconventional childhood due to her parents' deeply dysfunctional lifestyle, to how she removed herself from that lifestyle as a young adult.
