The Lone Ranger hero Armie Hammer won’t be Batman in Batman vs. Superman
While he returns to cinemas next week with the release of The Lone Ranger, Armie Hammer has ruled himself out of playing Batman in Warner Bros' upcoming Batman vs. Superman big screen outing.
Hammer was set to portray Bruce Wayne in George Miller's Justice League: Mortal, the film was unfortunately cancelled during the 2007 writers' guild strike and talking to Metro, Hammer said "I'm not actually a big fan of superhero films, if you have a guy who is supposed to be invulnerable, then what's the point?"
Hammer will star alongside Man of Steel's Henry Cavill in Guy Ritchie's The Man From U.N.C.L.E and quipped "I think if Henry and I did that film and then a superhero film straight after, people might start to wonder about us."
Superman vs Batman has been confirmed as the follow up to Zack Snyder's Man of Steel with Snyder returning to the helm. The film that will pit Superman against Batman is set to arrive in 2015.
