The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones villain Jonathan Rhys Meyers unlikely to star in Star Wars: Episode VII
The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones villain Jonathan Rhys Meyers has played down the likelihood that he will star in director JJ Abrams's Star Wars Episode VII.
The actor who is known for The Tudors and Dracula has been rumoured to be in the running for the lead role in the Disney produced sequel since he has previously worked with J.J. Abrams on Mission: Impossible III but talking to Entertainment Weekly said "Look, I've worked with JJ… but I don't believe rumours, to be honest, I don't watch many movies, there's very, very few films that I will go to the cinema to see.
I'll go to the cinema to see anything by Paul Thomas Anderson or Nicholas Winding Refn or Mike Leigh or Steven Spielberg. But I don't go to the cinema very often. I read a lot."
Rhys Meyers returns to cinemas alongside Game of Thrones favourite Sophie Turner in Isabel Coixet's Panda Eyes on November 15.
