‘The Punisher’ to re enter the fray with Marvel

26 July 2010

Whilst 'The Punisher' films have been largely a flop with the laughable Dolph Lundgren starring 1989 incarnation, to the 2004 Thomas Jane version to the more faithful 'Punisher: War Zone', starring Ray Stevenson in 2008, fans can rejoice that the property is now back in the hands of Marvel.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige made the announcement to the crowd at this years Comic Con, he said "Frank Castle is under the roof of Marvel Studios now and we hope to bring him into the fray shortly."

Since there are plans to reboot 'Daredevil' and 'Fantastic Four' the idea of a new Punisher film isn't too far fetched, and whilst this isn't the biggest news from Marvel to come out of Comic Con, it's welcomed all the same.
