The Simpsons Sequel – What if it’s no good?

The Simpsons Sequel - "Wo-hoo.."

James L. Brooks the executive producer has revealed that they do have a basic plotline for the next film but the series, which is now in it's 22nd season, will always comes first.

"We're open to it," he says about a follow-up, though he admits that the first film "was much harder than we anticipated. It took us a year to try and get to the point because we're all so scared of 'What are we going to do to the Simpsons' and 'What if the movie is no good?'"

He adds: "It was a huge success and we're very open to it and we have a beginning notion if we want to do it, but the series always comes first with us. The series is always primary to us."

The Simpsons Movie was a huge success back in 2007, and we hope 20th Century Fox are keen to get another film up and running...
