The Wolverine hero Hugh Jackman says the character is eternally fascinating

24 July 2013

James Mangold's The Wolverine hits cinemas tomorrow and Hugh Jackman has said that he he continues to be fascinated by his iconic character.

Speaking to Good Morning America, Jackman who reprises his role as clawed mutant Logan for the sixth time and sees Logan battle samurais in Japan said "I'd be lying if I said I chose that role. At the time, I would have taken anything, it was my first job in America, but I happened to sort of find this character that is eternally fascinating to me."

Sharing his thoughts on Wolverine's enduring appeal, He added "He's cool. He's in every way an actor's dream. I know it's a big action movie, but actually there's a lot to it.

There's a lot of complexity… There's more romance in this one, which I haven't told my wife about yet. And the claws! Actually, now my kids are starting to admit that it's cool."

Jackman returns to the role for the seventh time in Bryan Singer's ensemble X-Men: Days of Future Past which hits cinemas next July.
