The World’s End babe Rosamund Pike is frontrunner to join Ben Affleck in David Fincher’s Gone Girl
While she returns to cinemas as Sam with the release of Edgar Wright's The World's End, it has emerged that Rosamund Pike has become the frontrunner to star alongside Ben Affleck in David Fincher's Gone Girl.
The Hollywood Reporter report that inside sources have dismissed Charlize Theron, Natalie Portman and Emily Blunt as potential choices for the highly sought-after part in the adaption of Gillian Flynn's best selling novel.
Produced by Reese Witherspoon's Type A company, Gone Girl is the story of a man (Affleck) whose wife disappears under suspicious circumstances.
Pike has Pascal Chaumeil's A Long Way Down in post production which is set for release next Valentine's Day, and is filming Peter Chelsom's Hector and the Search for Happiness, Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin's comedy What We Did on Our Holiday and Fouad Mikati's thriller Return to Sender.
