The World’s End’s Rosamund Pike confirmed for David Fincher’s Gone Girl
Last week it was reported that The World's End star Rosamund Pike was the first choice for the lead role of Amy in David Fincher's Gone Girl and word is she has now secured the role.
The Hollywood Reporter report that Pike beat the likes of Charlize Theron, Natalie Portman and Emily Blunt for the role of the woman who goes missing on the day of her fifth wedding anniversary and will feature alongside Argo filmmaker Ben Affleck.
Affleck will star as Nick, a failed writer whose seemingly perfect life rapidly falls apart after his wife's disappearance in the adaptation of Gillian Flynn's bestselling novel.
