DISNEY AND PIXAR’S TOY STORY 4 REMAINS UK AND IRELAND’S NUMBER ONE FILM

“The storytelling is impeccable” – THE TIMES

“Toy Story 4 is a complete and utter joy” – THE SUN

“most purely delightful character animation I’ve ever seen and a script that made me shake with laughter at least once every five minutes” – THE TELEGRAPH

“Sheer animated genius” – METRO

“Toy Story 4 is a triumph” – DAILY MAIL

After just one week of release Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 4 has already become the fourth biggest film of the year with a current cume of £26.9M. The result means Walt Disney Studios now has the top five films of the year at the UK and Ireland box office with Avengers: Endgame, Captain Marvel, Aladdin, Toy Story 4 and Dumbo all at the top of the current 2019 ultimate chart.

Toy Story 4 opened last week to critical acclaim and became the biggest three day opener for an animated feature ever. The film has remained on top in its second weekend of release and proved these toys have been made weather-proof as temperatures soared around the country. Globally the film has already made over $497M and is set to continue delighting audience throughout the summer.

The film, which was called “a gorgeous and uplifting treat” by The Times, sees Bonnie taking the toys on her family’s road trip. Woody (the voice of Academy Award® winner Tom Hanks) ends up on an unexpected detour that includes a reunion with his long-lost friend Bo Peep, whose adventurous spirit and life on the road belie her delicate porcelain exterior. Woody and Bo are worlds apart when it comes to life as a toy, and they soon realize that’s the least of their worries. Directed by Josh Cooley (“Riley’s First Date?”), and produced by Mark Nielsen (associate producer “Inside Out”) and Jonas Rivera (“Inside Out,” “Up”), Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 4 is in cinemas now.
