Trance filmmaker Danny Boyle wants T2 title for Trainspotting sequel
With his next offering Trance coming to cinemas this coming Wednesday, prolific filmmaker Danny Boyle has discussed the recently announced sequel to Trainspotting.
Speaking to Jonathan Ross, Boyle explained that the film based on Irvine Welsh's novel Porno "It's going to look at the same actors playing the same parts but 20 years later.
Like a 7 Up, 14 Up, 21 Up, I always find those things amazing. Seeing time pass with people that you're familiar with.
I think to see (Ewan) go back to Renton, to see Bobby Carlyle go back to Begbie, I'd like to see that."
Boyle hopes to use the title T2 for the sequel and adds "We're going to try and do T2, if James Cameron will let us use that title."
The full interview airs tonight on ITV while Trance opens on Wednesday March 27 with the stellar cast of James McAvoy, Rosario Dawson and Vincent Cassel.
