New Episodes of “The Mosquito Coast” Will Be Available On Fridays
Apple TV+ is excited to share a look at the family affair behind “The Mosquito Coast,” the widely anticipated drama series adapted from the best-selling novel, written by critically acclaimed novelist Paul Theroux, and starring Justin Theroux, Melissa George, Logan Polish and Gabriel Bateman, available Friday, April 30.
In this featurette, Justin Theroux and his uncle, Paul Theroux, discuss the inspiration for the Fox family and how this television adaptation came to be. Paul Theroux shares, “There are some lines that are not in the book that are in the series that Justin has channeled from family history…In a way, it has come full circle. I was writing about my family and now a member of my family is in it.”
About The Mosquito Coast
From award-winning novelist Neil Cross, and based on the best-selling book by Paul Theroux which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, “The Mosquito Coast” is a gripping adventure and layered character drama following the dangerous journey of a radical idealist and brilliant inventor, Allie Fox (played by Justin Theroux), who uproots his family for Mexico when they suddenly find themselves on the run from the US government.
The seven-episode first season is created for television and executive produced by Neil Cross. Also executive producing are Rupert Wyatt, who directs the first two episodes, author Paul Theroux, star Justin Theroux and Edward L. McDonnell. Alan Gasmer, Peter Jaysen and Bob Bookman also serve as executive producers for Veritas Entertainment Group.
