UK Premiere Of TASTE OF CEMENT Set To Open The 7th Open City Documentary Festival at Picturehouse Central

The Open City Documentary Festival is pleased to announce this year’s Opening Night gala will be Ziad Kalthoum's TASTE OF CEMENT, the highly-acclaimed portrait of exiled Syrian construction workers building a skyscraper in Beirut while at the same time their own homes are being shelled. The film will receive its UK Premiere on Tuesday 5 September at Picturehouse Central.

Open City Documentary Festival champions new voices in non-fiction storytelling and the programme offers a chance to see the best in contemporary, international documentary as well as filmmaker Q&As, industry panels, workshops, networking and parties. The 7th Open City Documentary Festival takes place over six days in venues across London from 5 September to 10 September 2017.
