Viggo Mortensen and Amy Adams join Kirsten Dunst in ‘On The Road’
The long awaited adaptation of the part autobiographical book that was critically acclaimed upon its release and is considered one of the key tomes dealing with life in post-war America written by Jack Kerouac in 1957 'On The Road' has signed two more high profile actors in the forms of the lovely Amy Adams and the ever talented Viggo Mortensen.
Viggo and Amy will join an all star cast that includes 'Spider-Man' alum Kirsten Dunst and 'Twilight' starlet Kristen Stewart.
Mortensen will play Old Bull Lee, a character Kerouac loosely based on William S Burroughs while Adams is Jane (based on Joan Vollmer), the damaged junkie mother of two kids, and Lee’s wife, while Kristen Stewart, Kirsten Dunst, Sam Riley and Garrett Hedlund, will star as Camille, Marylou, Sal Paradise and Dean Moriarty respectively. The film, which Hollywood legend Francis Ford Coppola is producing and Walter Salles who directed 'The Motorcycle Diaries 'is directing, and shooting began this month with a 2011 release.
