Vince Vaughn and Tony Scott set to team for Lucky Strike

16 February 2012

Multi award winning actor Vince Vaughn known for the likes of Old School, The Break-Up, Fred Claus and The Dilemma has reportedly signed on to team with filmmaker Tony Scott for action thriller Lucky Strike.

Deadline reports that the duo are close to signing a deal to take on the $80 million which will be overseen by Emmett/Furla Films, Scott Free and 20th Century Fox.

Lucky Strike is being written by Henry Bean and tells the story of a police officer who joins forces with an infamous drug runner to take down a cartel and marks a return to the director's chair for Scott who last directed Unstoppable with Denzel Washington and Chris Pine.

Vaughn on the other hand has Lay the Favourite ready for release and has Neighborhood Watch in post production and is currently filming A Case of You with Evan Rachel Wood. While there is no release date set for Lucky Strike, the film is set to begin production in late summer or early autumn.
