Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara wants Wonder Woman film or TV series ASAP

06 October 2013

It looks as though Alexandra Daddario isn't the only one keen on a Wonder Woman film, with word that Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara stating that a Wonder Woman film or television show must be commissioned as soon as possible.

Describing the studio's lack of success with DC Comics properties other than Superman and Batman as a "missed opportunity", he expressed interest in developing a project based on the Amazonian.

The Hollywood Reporter quoted Tsujihara as saying that the company has "huge plans for a number of other DC properties on TV... we need to get Wonder Woman on the big screen or TV".

Lynda Carter who portrayed the Amazonian Princess between 1975 and 1979 recently called for Warner Bros. to appoint a female screenwriter to tackle the character.

Wonder Woman has had two failed attempts in recent years to make it onto the small screen; with Adrianne Palicki's Wonder Woman failing to be picked up for series and the CW's Amazon which was put on hold earlier this year.
