The Ugly Truth(2009)

"Given yet another predictable plot, stupid dumb jokes and often cringey script they actually did the characters proud and made this watchable"

Every now and again I get an urge to see one of these. Maybe it's because I think that this one will be different; it'll be better, funnier, wiser. Coco Before Chanel(2009)

"Biopics are often tricky tasks. Telling the story of someone’s life when you’ve only got a few hours to play with means creative decisions have to be made about which bits to focus on"

Funny People(2009)

"I especially liked the scenes where they show real Stand Up comedy, its a fascinating look behind the scenes at how it's done on the comedy curcuit."

Adam Sandler is one of my favourite actors, I enjoy his work, and this is a little darker for him, he plays a comedian that has been diagnosed with a rare blood disease and as a way of coping with it, he hires Ira Wright (Seth Rogan) and reconnects with his comedy roots in Stand Up.

Sure ...
