"It's fluffy enough to make for easy viewing yet none of Young's sarcasm and humour were lost in the process"

How to Loose Friends and Alienate People is one of my favourite books of all time - not surprising really seeing as I'm a journalist reporting on celebrities (well, kind of). So I was very, VERY apprehensive about this film. Surely they were going to ruin it? But I was wrong! I loved this film.

It's fluffy enough to make for easy viewing yet none of Young's sarcasm and humour were lost in the process. By stepping away from the book and using it purely as a basis these guys have achieved the ultimate goal of keeping the old fans happy while simultaneously appealing to a new audience.

Cast wise, Pegg was outstanding with his countless facial expressions lighting up every scene without muttering a line. I think Dunst's performance could have been tighter in places but she does her speciality - the girl next door - superbly.
