Good times at the BAFTA Comedy Lunch
The Fan Carpet swapped films for stand-up comedy last week at the Best of British Comedy Lunch, in aid of the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund.
Invited along as guests to our friends at Digital Media Services, we were treated to a three course meal as well as live performances and special guest appearances from a host of British talent from across the years.
The annual event hosted at BAFTA, London, was hosted by Jason Manford, whilst also featuring the lies of Barry Cryer, Liz Fraser and Jarred Christmas amongst many others - including three live performances from new talent such as Charlie Baker, whilst a comedy host sat at each table.
In what is a hugely enjoyable event, there was also an auction, with items such as a privately hired cinema for a preview screening of The Dark Knight Rises auctioned off, with all of the proceeds going to the CTBF. With a three course meal, a glass or two of wine, and some of the most exciting British talent performing live, there aren't many better ways to spend a Friday afternoon - made all the better knowing the event is in aid of a very effective cause. |
