- 01. you must have some knowledge of WordPress, Coppermine and FTP (File Transfer Protocol).
- 02. you must update your fansite regularly.
- 03. a limited advertising model may be used to support server costs; placement is kept minimal and unobtrusive and can be reviewed where appropriate.
- 04. when you are hosted with us, and due to circumstances that prevent you from continuing the site and/or you change ownership you MUST let us know so we can update our records.

Hosting & Infrastructure
Sites hosted within The Fan Carpet: Fansites Network are supported by our dedicated server infrastructure. This is not shared hosting — it is actively managed and designed for fansites at scale.
To help cover hosting, bandwidth and maintenance costs, some sites may display limited advertising. Placement is kept minimal and unobtrusive.
Can my site be ad-free?
Yes — if your site requires a completely clean user experience, an ad-free model can be arranged depending on your site’s size and requirements. Contact us to discuss.
Do I get a free domain?
Yes. If you explain why your site needs a specific domain, we will do what we can to support that.
My site is so big, can you move it?
Yes. Large-scale sites are supported. If SSH is available, transfers can be faster. Otherwise, we will handle the process properly based on the size of your site.
What is your DNS?
Once your site is fully transferred and tested, DNS is the final step. Full instructions are provided in your welcome email.
How do I set up a Database?
We handle database setup for you — just tell us your requirements.
Can I have videos or audio on my account?
We recommend using platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo for large media to optimise performance.
My account was suspended! Why?
This can happen due to outdated scripts, security risks or spam. We will always contact you first and help resolve the issue.
