Sky Cinema is bringing back one of its most popular channels with the return of its super alter-ego on Sky Cinema Superheroes

14 November 2017

From today, Sky Cinema Superheroes will return to Sky channel 304, and is available until 3 December. It will offer viewers a wide selection of Marvel and DC heroes to coincide with the release of new blockbuster Justice League in cinemas.

Included on the channel – also available On Demand and via NOW TV - are a wide array of super-powered film favourites including the original Spider-Man trilogy, Oscar-winning 2008 hit The Dark Knight, and smash-hit Deadpool.

The dedicated channel will also screen a number of new releases including Benedict Cumberbatch thriller Doctor Strange (2016) and see two of cinema's most famous superheroes do battle in the star-packed Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Sky Cinema Superheroes is the latest dedicated channel on Sky Cinema in 2017, following Sky Cinema Animation and Sky Cinema Halloween. Sky Cinema Christmas – which launched last week – is also bringing viewers a wide range of Christmas classics until 3 January 2018, and a dedicated classic film channel, Sky Cinema Classics, will provide a wide collection of films from 18-26 December. All the channels are available at no extra cost to Sky Cinema subscribers.

Sky Cinema Group Director Ian Lewis said "Superheroes have been at the centre of some of cinema's most-loved films, and Sky Cinema Superheroes will again bring together some of the genre's most iconic franchises and movies in one place.

Dedicated channels like Superheroes are among our most popular, and this is another great collection for our customers to enjoy".

Sky Cinema brings viewers a brand new premiere every single day, and is available from just £10 per month. From Sky Cinema Oscars in February to Sky Cinema Sky-Fi in September, and with a dedicated channel celebrating the Christmas season to come, Sky Cinema brings together the biggest and best films in new and inventive ways to re-affirm its status as the UK and Ireland's leading in-home movies service.
