Amanda Seyfried talks flirting and Paris

Red Riding Hood
11 April 2011

Since making her mark in short lived television series Veronica Mars she went on to make her film debut in 2004’s Mean Girls, Amanda Seyfried has gone from strength to strength and has solidified her place as one of Hollywood’s most sought after young talents.

Her latest film, Red Riding Hood set in a medieval village that is haunted by a werewolf where she plays Valerie a young girl who falls for an orphaned woodcutter, much to her family’s displeasure.

The Fan Carpet caught up with her on the red carpet for the London Premiere of Red Riding Hood where she talks about flirting on set, Leonardo Di Caprio and what she’s afraid of.

What are you afraid of?

I’m afraid of everything day to day but I’m trying my hardest not to be.

Have you ever tried to quit smoking?

Oh I do smoke, I smoke every once in a while, I smoke when I drink. I did smoke in Paris the other day and someone probably caught me doing that.

Did you have a nice time in Paris? Did you buy anything?

I did. I bought some macaroons, I bought some Ben Hur.

What are you wearing today?

I’m actually wearing a very eco friendly dress, Livia Firth and Collins by Karen Caldwell she has an amazing range of dresses and I love it.

Would you ever bring out an album?

No. I don’t think so.

What’s your fitness regime? What sort of things do you do?

I work out everyday, I do cardio, that’s all I do. I hike aswell.

Was there a lot for flirting with the boys on set?

No. It was very friendly, I mean like I love them, their like brothers. I just had a really great time like a family. But that’s how movies are though.

Why do you think men find you irresistible?

I don’t think they do.

What’s your next project?

I’m working on a movie called Gone, it’s a thriller, not like this.

Leonardo Di Caprio backed this movie, did you meet him?

He’s great, he’s got good instincts and makes good choices in his career. He’s a really good producer.

Max said you had a filthy sense of humour, do you have a romantic side?

I do. All sides. I keep ’em guessing.
