Lionsgate have announced that The Dark Knight's Harvey 'Two-Face' Dent Aaron Eckhart will lead their adaption of Kevin Grevioux's graphic novel I, Frankenstein.

According to Slashfilm, Eckhart will be Adam, Frankenstein's monster who has survived to the present day and finds himself caught up in a battle between two immortal clans.

Tomorrow, When The War Began writer/director Stuart Beattie said "Mary Shelley’s story is about the creation of the first human being. This is the story about that being becoming human."

While co-COO of Lionsgate and Motion Picture Group President Joe Drake said "This story is all about what it means to be human, and there could be no more achingly human performance than the one Aaron gave in our own Rabbit Hole. We are so excited to see what he will bring to this role."

Eckhart was last seen as Sgt. Michael Nantz in Battle: Los Angeles and will next be seen alongside Johnny Depp and Amber Heard in The Rum Diary as Sanderson when it opens on November 4.
