Amanda Seyfried, Wes Bentley and Jennifer Carpenter to star in Gone

22 April 2011

Amanda Seyfried had a slightly worrying look on her face as she shopped in West Hollywood yesterday in the sunshine in casual shorts, t-shirt and trainers. Maybe it was a case of some buyers remorse as she was laiden down with shopping bags, spotted getting into her car. Or maybe she's just annoyed at being papped yet again.

Either way the 25 year old is probably too busy gearing up for her new film Gone, to worry about that. The thriller about a woman who attempts to track down her sister's kidnapper, will also star Wes Bentley (American Beauty), Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter), and Emily Wickersham (I Am Number Four) – are now signed on for the film, which is slated to begin shooting next month. The official synopsis describes the film as;

When Jill Parrish (Seyfried) returns home from the night shift to find her sister’s bed empty, she is convinced that the serial killer who kidnapped her two years before has come back to finish the job. But the police do not believe her and Jill knows time is running out. With no one to turn to, Jill sets off to find her sister and face her abductor once and for all.

Variety confirms that Gone is being directed by Brazilian filmmaker Heitor Dhalia, who most recently helmed the little-seen drama Adrift, with Black Swan‘s Vincent Cassel.

Amanda can next be seen in Now alongside Justin Timberlake, Olivia Wilde, Alex Pettyfer and Cillian Murphy on the 4th of November 2011.
