20 January 2012

Gorgeous Forgetting Sarah Marshall star Kristen Bell has said that she is hopeful that a Veronica Mars film will be produced.

The Heroes alumni who played the teenage investigator in the series that ran from 2004 - 2006 tells TV Guide "I'm so thankful for the impact that Veronica Mars has had on my life, it makes me excited that it affected people to the degree that it did. It makes me excited that fans still want a movie because I still want a movie."

Veronica Mars received praise from critics and was nominated for Writers Guild and Teen Choice Awards and Bell adds "That wasn't an easy show to shoot or to publicise. I'm proud of it, and I think nothing compares to something you work on that you're genuinely proud of."

Bell who can currently be seen in House of Lies previously vowed that she would help finance a Veronica Mars feature to get the project off the ground.

Bell was last seen as Chloe Patterson in Scream 4 and returns to cinemas in Big Miracle alongside Drew Barrymore on February 10.
