Catherine Zeta-Jones worked hard for Rock of Ages

07 June 2012

Oscar winning Wales born actress Catherine Zeta Jones, who returns to cinemas next week with Adam Shankman's Rock of Ages has admitted that training for her role in Rock of Ages was hard work.

The Chicago actress told Daybreak that she had to push herself to regain her fitness for the film revealing "I had to get my butt in gear and get back into shape in a very short period of time.

I did A Little Night Music on Broadway and I had to waltz [but] I hadn't done a high kick since Chicago.

I went straight in, and I was like 'Come on, get in, do it and get out', and that's what I did, and I had so much fun."

Rock of Ages comes to cinemas on June 13 and features Tom Cruise, Bryan Cranston, Malin Akerman, Alec Baldwin, Paul Giamatti, Julianne Hough, Russell Brand and Will Forte.
