Disney film leapfrogs The Blind Side at US box office

The Princess and the Frog has hopped to the top of the US box office.

The Disney comedy jumped from 16th place to number one after taking over £15 million at the US box office. It leapfrogged last week's number one - Sandra Bullock's true life sports drama The Blind Side.

Clint Eastwood's Invictus was a brand new entry in third place after it took £5.5 million.

Vampire blockbuster New Moon and A Christmas Carol rounded out the top five.
