Elizabeth Banks and Stellar cast join ‘My Idiot Brother’
'My Idiot Brother' has landed four lovely ladies, joining the cast are Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel, Emily Mortimer and Rashida Jones. Last week it was reported that Paul Rudd is to play the title character, while Banks, the 'Definitely Maybe' actress and '(500) Days Of Summer' Deschanel will play his sisters in the Jesse Peretz directed indie comedy.
Written by Evgenia Peretz (sister of the director) and David Schisgall it will see Elizabeth Banks as a career-driven single about to get her big break in journalism and Zooey Deschanel will portray a bisexual whose inconsistent behaviour cause problems with her "caring, responsible" girlfriend, with I Love You, Man actress Rashida Jones cast as Deschanel's lover.
Emily Mortimer on the other hand will play a Brooklyn-based mother who is too worried about having the perfect life and children to notice that her marriage is falling apart.
The film centres around Rudd as a man who brings chaos into the lives of his more ambitious sisters, shooting will begin in New York next month.
